Sales Management Training ? Is it Worth It? | Business in New World

Sales Management training can be one of the biggest challenges for any organization.

So often companies decide their best salespeople into sales management roles, usually as a reward for a great career put on sale.

The problem is that the poor often receive no formal training new sales manager. If they are really lucky they get to participate a Sales Manager Training program. Which in theory is great? Although in practice can be an enormousWaste of money.

This was confirmed by the latest research on what actually works.

The challenge, with a sales management training, as this:

1. They are carried out in isolation.

2. No follow-up or support it.

3. Too much information, without any connections

4. Full of hard skills, such as how to write a business plan. Such as fire or hire people. Very little soft skill development.

How do I know? Well, because Iheld a number in my time. As a sales consultant performance in which we are often asked to deliver ?manual? as quickly as we could. No questions asked. Just content. On the positive side, the company wanted to help their sales manager. The problem was that they do not realize that development is a process and takes time to work.

Some interesting facts for you. A study this year (2008). The positive impact of training and development outcomes are:

40%: byLearning and reading of texts before the course begins

20%: content delivered on the day

40%: the follow-up after the event

So in answer to my original question of trade with the training of managers is worth or necessary. I have to say, most definitely, yes.

Neither sales nor sales people born. They are made in any case. The best way to ensure this is done through a structured training and development plans over time.
Plans that balancethe old and new.

There is so much new information, which are currently working to reach about dealing with attitude toward success in sales. Yet, ironically, to mention so few classic programs for development, especially in sales only, still alone, which employ techniques to make it happen.

How you can help your own development? Well first of all examine what makes your company or your company a preferred supplier when it comes to sales manager training.

If it does notoffer some of the things proposed to have a look outside this sphere. It is possible and often with a different perspective on things.
Big Note, many training companies provide the same material each year. Never go to the new evidence of what works in a changing economic climate.

Be Ausgesetzt to do different ways of things that will expand your awareness and have additional qualifications that some of your colleagues are not known.

I have an example from my own. Slightly more thanTen years ago, I decided to check out NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Most of my colleagues. thought I was crazy to do it in my own time. But we mean with money.

Well 12 months later, my team went from 8th to 2 Place and my annual bonus hit 5 figures. For me, the extra effort was worth it. Not only do I great financial value. So my team to learn new tips and strategies have to help them. So that all won all round.

Make your own free development. It is a processfor the life of a successful sales manager as you
