It?s only less than two week since Sony experienced their last cyber invasion. It well seems that the company will need to revise their web security to much tighter levels. For, Sony has again been targeted by cyber hackers ? this time it is the French outfit of Sony Pictures that has come under attack.
Hackers who broke in have reportedly deployed the same weapon as they did for earlier violations. The SQL injection vulnerability injection has left Sony Pictures? French website crippled. ?It may be recalled that the same SQL injection was used to attack SonyPictures.com,?Sony Pictures Russia, Sony Ericsson, and Sony Music Entertainment Japan in the past few weeks.
With attacks following one after the other, we are left to wonder what ails Sony. Is it that the company has only limited resources to ensure that repeated attacks don?t happen?
Sony is worried no doubt. And this becomes clear from official statements that reveal that they currently investigating the attacks. Going by statistics, this could be the 20th time a website or a network linked with Sony has been the target of hacker attack ? that too in a span of just 2 months.
We just hope Sony will get their act together at least now, so that yet another attack doesn?t happen!
