At the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles on Friday, Lowndes traded her signature style (she usually wears her dark auburn locks styled in glossy, cascading waves) for a slick-backed bun that showed off the scoop design of her strapless mini.

The 22-year-old actress accented the tight, center-parted 'do with a french braid on each side that wrapped into a bun at the nape of her neck.

She paired her Camilla and Marc 'Sallow' dress with red Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and a bright scarlet lipstick to match the polka dot print in her cream-colored frock.
The Canadian beauty could have just thrown her hair into a ballerina bun, but that would have looked too formal. We love that she tried out a fun, young hairstyle for the teen mag-sponsored event, because if you can't show your girlie side there, where can you?
